Anyone who roams around old cemeteries will recognize the soul effigy image. There are several here in Sleepy Hollow’s Old Dutch Burying Ground.
The image represents the soul winging its way to Heaven with a crown of glory, Solomon Brewer, one of the effigy carvers is buried here in the Old Dutch Burying Ground.
Effigy size is 1 1/8”x5/8” and made of cast metal, covered with antiqued silver finish. Necklace is black suede cord and adjusts to 28”. Another creation by Leslie Evans, long time Sleepy Hollow resident/artist.
